Opulence : Treasures of daily life

Yoo Eui Jeong personal exhibition

Opulence : Treasures of daily life

A special exhibition by modern sculptor Yoo Eui Jeong,
<Opulence : Treasures of daily life>, will be held at Gallery Royal for three months from October 18.

As I am usually interested in Oriental art and crafts, I visited this exhibition.
The exhibition hall is located in Hakdong, and is very close to the station, so it is highly accessible.

Yoo Eui-jung will present 30 works that record modern culture and phenomena with pottery.
To him, pottery is the main language that can contain the flow of consciousness and is an important medium that can materialize and preserve the spirit. He is adding to the meaning of pottery as a future historical relic through the process of recording and preserving the current way of life on top of these special meanings.

His work is intended to confirm how modern life and phenomena, which can be called everyday, are expressed in art and rediscover treasures that have been lost due to daily familiarity.

So, we can easily associate objects that are easily found in ceramics in our daily lives.

The point of reinterpretation of various brands and works in one's own way.
The pottery on display at the museum conveys the ancient social images to the present time with its natural strength and preservation. Such remains of pottery are utilized as indicators of time and region and reflect the mental and physical needs of the day, such as the fashion and ideas.

It was an interesting exhibition that was easily accessible to both men and women.
